About me

About Me

I've mastered the art of saying things that aren't technically incorrect. I'm really good at cooking a mean breakfast, eating quantities of food that would be fatal to others, and getting a farmer's tan. I enjoy all forms of racquet-based sports. I'll pretty much do anything in exchange for sushi. I can't live without memory foam. Or the internet. I'm an avid fan of music that everybody hates. I enjoy the outdoors. And the indoors. The doorways between the two are just okay. I like to take innocent games and foul them by turning them into drinking games, such as Mario Kart.

Interests

Front-End

I like making dynamic user insterfaces, particularly using AngularJS and ReactJS. I think everything should be ported to the browser, from games to research tools. The browser VM is the ideal development target.

Back-End

Whether it's Ruby, Python, or NodeJS, I love building web servers. I need complex challenges requiring intricate algorithms. I also love databases, especially PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

Research

My original background was in science. I try to keep up with all the frontiers in chemistry, physics, and technology. I find the applications of software in science very interesting.

Maybe you need a new website, or perhaps a ramen date or a Super Smash Bros opponent. Hit me up.

When it comes to making web servers, I'll do whatever it takes. I've been doing it for years and I still relentlessly teach myself. Given any challenge I can learn whatever I need to in order to overcome it. I'm ready to take on any language, any scale, and any domain.
